The Artists Alliance of North Florida (AAONF) was founded in February of 2002. In October 2002 we received our non-profit 501(c)(3) status from the IRS as a recognized educational organization.
Through our educational and community programs the AAONF seeks to preserve, promote and portray North Florida through the work of our naturalists, artists, and creatives in all fields and to build a thriving and sustainable creative economy throughout our thirty county region of North Florida
The educational mission of the AAONF informs all of our activities, encouraging creativity in our communities, businesses, schools, and governance. The ARTT program is designed to provide creative enhancement within the core curricula of the public school system.
The Florida's Eden plan is designed to be an open vehicle for multiple partnerships in the creation of a vibrant and sustainable asset-based creative economy in thirty counties of North Florida, an economy which brings greater prosperity to all our citizens and communities and that ultimately makes our natural environment worth far more preserved than destroyed.
Our vision of the creative economy goes far beyond the traditional cultural arts, embracing everything from food to health. Through its Florida's Eden SOURCE organizations, businesses and individuals are invited to become part of the 'official' creative economy of North Florida. Sign up is easy and affordable and gives you an online, marketed presence in the world while contributing to the collective voice of our region as place full of beauty and creativity.
