ARTT matches local artists, naturalists, writers and other 'creatives' with core curriculum teachers for one week residencies in middle schools. At this time the program is being carried out on a limited basis in Alachua County public schools. Recent donations and grant funding are allowing this program to expand and we are actively seeking further funds and business sponsorships of ARTT residencies.
The Erica Lavender Fund has been established in memory of Erica Lavender as an endowment for Artists Reaching Through Teaching (ARTT) projects. An initial pilot program of the ARTT has been carried out in four Alachua County schools. Donations to the Erica Lavendar Fund are welcome.
