Poet, writer, painter, sculptor and potter Gary Haskins, 63, lives and works in Macintosh, Florida. He is a graduate of Florida Atlantic University (B.A. in English Lit.), and has been a studio artist since the age of 26, when he went began a full-time apprenticeship making traditional Bizenware ceramics in Okayama prefecture, Japan, with master craftsman Shin Buyo.
