ARTISTS REACHING THROUGH TEACHING (ARTT)
ARTT
partners local resource people with core curriculum
middle school teachers for one week "creative
residencies" in the classroom. ARTT bridges school
and community and brings place-based education into
our public schools. The ARTT Pilot Program for 2007 -
2010 partners Ft. White High School, Ichetucknee
State Park, and ARTT. ARTT serves as an educational
component of the Florida Springs Awareness Campaign,
helping middle school students develop their own
voice in advocacy of the springs and their local
environment. | Learn More . .

SCENIC TRAILS REGIONAL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS
The
Florida’s Eden Plan is developing a series of
interlinked trails throughout North Florida as a
sustainable, asset-based economic development
initiative. The self-guided trail system will enhance
the role of our urban centers as visitor hubs and
expand visitor participation in the wealth of
opportunities available in our rural and wilderness
areas. The work of North Florida’s regional
coalitions in developing visitor awareness and trail
systems is integrated into this interlinked system,
giving visitors a seamless connection as they travel
throughout the region. The Scenic Trails program is
community based and focuses on local businesses,
cultural, heritage and recreation sites. |
